Jaylon delivers a bouncing Baby Boy with his groovy new EP and full-length visualizer video — showcasing today on Tinnitist.
From sun-drenched anthems to soulful collaborations, Baby Boy captures the Nigerian-born, U.K.-based artist’s multicultural journey and genre-bending style, bridging Lagos, Bristol and the dancefloor with six tracks of vibrant Afro R&B. Boasting a sonic mosaic of upbeat rhythms — including elements dancehall, pop and soul — along with nostalgic grooves and soulful collaborations that reflect a life lived between continents, the EP represents a defining chapter in Jaylon’s evolution as a genre-fluid creator and storyteller.
Baby Boy is nothing short of Jaylon’s sonic autobiography. Each track reveals a different facet of his identity, from the joyful chaos of Nigerian cities to the experimental freedom of the U.K. underground. Featuring collaborators like Azanti, Minz, Anjeli, Phaemous, Remy Baggins and Ramoni, the EP bursts with collaborative energy and diverse textures.
Drawing upon his formative years in Ibadan and Lagos, and shaped by the eclectic pulse of Bristol’s music scene, Jaylon fuses cultural richness with cutting-edge production. Featuring a handpicked ensemble of vocalists and producers from across Africa and the diaspora, the project is a feel-good, forward-thinking statement from an artist reshaping Afro-influenced R&B.
“Baby Boy is where I let myself explore joy,” Jaylon explains. “It’s nostalgic, but still fresh — happy chords, chill vibes, and beats that move you without overwhelming. It’s a soundscape of who I am.”
