Stephen Sol | Eternal Peace: Exclusive Video Premiere

The D.C. singer-songwriter takes you on a journey of time, space & self-realization.

Stephen Sol surrenders to the universe and discovers Eternal Peace in his cosmic new single and video — premiering exclusively on Tinnitist.

The D.C. indie folk-rocker takes audiences on an interstellar spiritual odyssey with his latest release. Blending his signature fusion of soulful vocals, rhythmic guitar, and cinematic storytelling, Sol crafts an audiovisual experience that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. Set against a mesmerizing backdrop of intergalactic wonder and existential transformation, the video tells the story of a journey from self-doubt to enlightenment, guided by celestial, time-traveling wizard who unveils the ultimate truth: True confidence and peace come not from the outside world, but from going with the flow of the universe:

“The sound of nothing
Is so sweet
It’s me
Eternal peace
And now I can breathe
Life runs in me
My body feels vibration, baby
My spirit is free.”

“This song is about letting go of the need for validation and instead finding fulfillment in something deeper. For me, that meant connecting with my spirit, writing music, and marveling at the beauty of existence and the concept of eternity,” says Sol. “The video takes that idea to a fantastical level, turning it into a visual adventure through time, space, and self-actualization.”

Directed by hip-hop artist and filmmaker Dreemy Alpha, the video brings Stephen’s vision to life with a visually striking narrative that sends Stephen through a time portal into an otherworldly experience. Stephen has previously collaborated with Alpha, playing guitar in his live band, contributing to acoustic versions of his songs, and acting in his upcoming film The Dark Kingdom.

Eternal Peace is about accessing the energy that awaits us all in the afterlife, and surrendering to it now,” says Sol. “I wanted the video to feel like one of those beautiful near-death experiences where you suddenly feel eternally grateful to be alive.”

Sol is a Washington singer-songwriter whose music fuses classic rock grit, indie warmth, and folk storytelling. Backed by a dynamic nine-piece band, his sound channels the raw intensity of Hozier, the laid-back charm of Mac DeMarco and the timeless spirit of The Beatles. With soulful vocals and introspective lyrics, Stephen’s songs delve into love, self-discovery, and metaphysical wonder — offering a sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new.

Stephen’s musical journey began at 14, inspired by his grandfather Boots, a devoted Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson fan. His teen years were shaped by Pink Floyd’s cinematic soundscapes, Led Zeppelin’s raw power and Steely Dan’s sophisticated melodies. Over time, he blended these classic influences with singer-songwriters like Dave Matthews, John Mayer and Jack Johnson. More recently, he’s found inspiration in the raw storytelling of Zach Bryan — an influence made even more personal through his cousin Read Connolly, who plays banjo and pedal steel in Bryan’s band.

In 2024 and 2025, Stephen headlined three sold-out shows at Galactic Panther and just performed to a packed Union Stage in January. Eternal Peace continues to build momentum ahead of his debut album and Live at Manor Time EP, both set for release in 2025.
