This email just landed in my in-box. It came from an artist whose name doesn’t matter. It was actually titled Obligatory Bandcamp Friday E-Mail. I presume that’s someone’s idea of a cheeky quip. In any case, this missive not only lives up to its billing — it might also be one of the dumbest, most pointless things I’ve ever seen. Read for yourself:

Not to put too fine a point on it, but please fuck off with this shit. Nobody needs to send this. Nobody needs to get this. It’s not cute. It’s not funny. It’s not helpful. It’s not informative. It’s just stupid — a complete waste of everyone’s time. The only thing this does is make me dislike you, your music and Bandcamp Friday. Just stop it.
