Fuller Hull | Not Long For Here: Exclusive Single Premiere

The prairie troubadour paints a dark portrait of rural hardship in his latest release.

Fuller Hull dramatically captures the inescapable plight of the struggilng family farm in his powerful new single Not Long For Here — premiering exclusively on Tinnitist.

The latest release from the veteran Manitoba country-folk troubadour is the kind of sombre, soul-piercing song that can only come from an artist with some miles on the odometer and some wear and tear on the heart. As his ringing acoustic guitar leads his band through an earthy, deliberately paced country waltz, Hull’s high-longsome pipes paint a dark portrait of rural life’s hardships and heartbreaks:

“Rust on the tractor out dead in the field
Rust in the water we drink with our meal
Just another sign of the last 50 years
Another sign that we’re not long for here
Sometimes I don’t think we can slow down
Sometimes I don’t think we can hold on
Sometimes it feels like we’re all long gone
Sometimes we’re just caught in a song.”

That last line certainly applies to Fuller. A country-folk singer-songwriter with a twist, he’s not your average rising star — he’s a seasoned artist who’s lived a full, wild life, and his songs are the result of it. Think of him like a well-used farm tool — rugged, reliable and capable of turning out some of the most authentic, raw tunes around.

Fuller’s reputation as a jack of all trades — and master of each — is legendary among those who know him, but it’s his songwriting that really shines. With a unique mix of talent and heart, he effortlessly blends his experiences into every song, whether on the page or the stage. From growing up “free range” in the city to settling down on a farm on the prairie, Fuller’s journey had been anything but ordinary. After leaving the music scene for more than 20 years, he’s made his return — and let’s just say this “new” artist has lived more than most people twice his age.

In an industry that prizes quick success, Fuller’s story is refreshingly unconventional. But for him, authenticity can’t be rushed — it’s earned over time, with sweat, grit and a lifetime of lessons. Fuller draws from his rich past, creating songs that feel timeless and real, just like the world he’s lived in. A true Gen-Xer, he’s blazing his own trail, on his own terms. His debut album March was a deeply personal introduction to his sound, while his most recent followup, The Unsuspected and Unstoppable, is a collection of stories drawn from his life in the city, the mountains, the farm — and from his heart. Honest, vulnerable, and unapologetically raw, Fuller’s music invites you into his world, one song at a time.
