Other late greats born on this day include French singer-songwriter and unlikely ladies’ man Serge Gainsbourg (1928), singer-keyboardist Leon Russell (1941), Guess Who guitarist Kurt Winter (1946) and Lynyrd Skynyrd bassist Leon Wilkeson (1952).
