Tinnitist TV | Episode 80: Del Barber

The troubadour talks carrion birds, F-bombs, superfluous white dudes & more.

Del Barber has turned the page — musically speaking. For his upcoming eighth release Almanac, the Manitoba singer-songwriter and working farmer started with a literally empty notebook, a clean artistic slate and a more grounded, realistic attitude towards his career. By freeing himself from these creative and commercial constraints, he found his love for songwriting rekindled — and you can hear the results in the richly detailed, character-driven songs that populate the excellent Almanac. Before heading back out on tour to road-test his new material — see his tour dates below — Barber got on the Zoom from his rural digs to chat about carrion birds, F-bombs, superfluous white dudes and much more. Enjoy.
