Happy birthday to the inimitable Bun E. Carlos, Cheap Trick’s original (and — with apolgies to Daxx Nielsen — greatest) drummer, who turns 71 years old today (Sunday, June 12). Like all great drummers, he makes it look easy, and has a style and sound all his own. But unlike any other drummer I’ve ever seen, Carlos can (and has) played both left-handed and right-handed kits. That’s just nuts.
