Punk compilations usually give you plenty of bang for your buck. But Hang the VJ, a video collection from Epitaph-affiliated Swedish label Burning Heart, takes the concept to a whole new level.
This exhaustive DVD contains 61 — yes, 61 — videos from 23 punk, ska and hardcore bands. You get three clips from 59 Times the Pain, half a dozen from Refused and their new incarnation The (International) Noise Conspiracy, three from Randy, six from Millencolin, and tons more — including four clips from new punk phenoms The Hives. With more than three hours of footage, this is indispensable for any true punk fan. Or at least, any true punk fan whose parents own a DVD player.
