Sometimes less really is more. Exhibit A: Next week’s televised musical offerings. With most of the late-night talking heads on holiday, the list of upcoming performers is woefully short. But what it lacks in quantity, it more than makes up in quality — assuming you think appearances by The Who, Lizzo, Spoon and Bright Eyes (among others) are worth your time.
