Pyano || (Eleven) | Way I See It: Exclusive Video Premiere

The Ottawa rapper mixes aspiration and inspiration on his thoughtful new track.

Pyano || (Eleven) shares his well-balanced worldview in the thought-provoking new single and video Way I See It — premiering exclusively on Tinnitist.

Driven by a bouncing subterranean groove, topped with plinking piano and sliced by edgy sonics, the casually confident track from the ascendant Ottawa rapper deftly walks the line between aspirational and inspirational, with the smoothly flowing Pyano summing up his philosophy in the deep cut’s midpoint breakdown: “Hard times create hard people; tough people create good times.”

Way I See It means a lot to me in terms of finding my sound as an artist,” explains the Ottawa rapper. “I’m always somewhere between the motivational, hardcore rap that I grew up on versus the more melodic stuff I listen to today. On this track, specifically, I find a good balance between the two, which as a result enables me to celebrate the milestones of success in my life in spite of this whole pandemic thing. Despite the challenges and obstacles over the last couple years, I’m exactly where I planned to be, and further, which is why this track is a good representation of all the lessons I learned through all that.”

That’s not all he’s learned. The young, versatile rhymeslinger who has made his home in the world’s colder side has knack for effortlessly delivering contagious melodies and unique flows over mellow yet exciting beats. Born in Amman, Jordan, Pyano has mastered the art of bringing charged vibes on records. Ranging from lyrically conscious to catchy melodic anthems, his music transcends borders between hip-hop, rap, and rap-pop, using witty motivational lyrics and a bouncy cadence to deliver his smooth signature style.

Pyano released two singles in 2021: Pineapple Juice and From the Beginning. He continues to make his introduction to the rap game known with Way I See It, which officially arrives Friday, Jan. 14 on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and other digital retailers and streaming services worldwide. His first EP is due in spring of 2022.
