Sonic Reducers | And The Grammy Goes To …

The Grammys have been postponed again — & we have something to say about that.

As if the Grammys weren’t irrelevant enough already.

For the second year in a row, the beleaguered awards ceremony that bills itself as Music’s Biggest Night has decided to postpone its festivities. Obviously, the latest delay comes in the wake of Omicron (not to be confused with R&B singer Omarion, who really should be asked to host the show just for shiggles at this point). Even more tellingly, the Grammys didn’t bother to announce a new date for the show. So who the hell knows if and when they’ll happen. Now, granted, it’s been a while since the Grammys truly mattered. But even so, the move is definitely the biggest music story of the day. So it’s what we’re chatting about in today’s episode of Sonic Reducers. Tune in to hear us talk about the delay, explain why the Grammys are off when sporting events and concerts are still going, and fondly recall the days when winning (or even just being nominated for) a Grammy actually mattered. Sonic Reducers. One topic. Two music nerds. Five minutes. Everything you need to know.
