Classic DVD Review: Moist | Machine Punch Through: The Video Collection

The Canadian rockers flesh out a dozen videos with the usual offstage footage.

This came out in 2001 – or at least that’s when I got it. Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing):

The Main Course: Like the title says, Moist videos and plenty of ’em — a dozen in all, including Underground, Silver, Resurrection, Gasoline, Tangerine, Breathe, Push and a couple that even have multi-word titles.

Side Dishes: The usual assortment of backstage and bus tour footage; a band discography and biography; Web links; audio commentary from the members; a wee book of song credits.

Easter Eggs: Several unspectacular home-movie clips of the lads are sprinkled around in the various menus. Ironically, the one that the band claims is nearly impossible to find — footage of one member babbling drunkenly during an overseas flight — was the first one I stumbled upon.

Final Verdict: If you’re a Moist fan, I can see how you might want this. But if you’re a Moist fan, you’ve already seen most of it on MuchMusic.
