Banned & Outlawed Play A Real Country Song

The Manitoba sibling duo dish up three chords and the truth in their latest track.

Banned & Outlawed deliver three chords and the truth in their down-home (and tellingly titled) single Real Country Song — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

For rural Manitoba siblings Jon and Daniel Hnatishin, a title like that only makes sense — the duo eat, drink and breathe country music. A down-home ode to the genre that fits them better than a well-worn Stetson, Real Country Song is a track that will have you feeding another quarter in the jukebox at the midwestern roadhouse on a Friday night. Like their previous 2021 release Livin’ my Life in a Small Town, Real Country Song continues to deliver their brand of true-blue-collar country.

Since stepping on to the scene, the duo have been featured in a variety of outlets and worked alongside Aaron Pritchett, Dean Brody, Lonestar, The Hunter Brothers, Emerson Drive and other country heavyweights. They earned multiple nominations at the 2021 Manitoba Country Music Awards — including nods for Group/Duo of the Year, Emerging Artist Award, Roots Artist/Duo/Group of the Year, and an individual nomination for Daniel in the All Star Band of the Year (Drums) category.
