Rogue Proxy Turn Heads With She Turned Around

The enigmatic ensemble update classic pop-rock their bittersweet single & video.

Rogue Proxy put a new spin on classic pop-rock with their bittersweet single and video She Turned Around — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

She Turned Around was inspired by literally having a girl turn around to say goodbye,” the band share — but it’s not what you might think. Rather than a romantic parting, the gesture was delivered by one member’s young daughter as the bandmates were wrapping up a video call.

The tune features vintage keys, rich bass tones, upfront drums and dual guitars — all put to work on a groovy rock ballad blending the iconic styles of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Crowes, and Lenny Kravitz. Lyrics like ‘The left bud in her ear, the right in mine, walking alone, side by side, in 4/4 time’ radiate, striking a sweet nostalgic chords from bygone eras.

The band’s growing roster of releases includes Solitary Confinement, Pump The Hype, Old Show, To The Nines and Dirty Pool. Check out the video above, hear more from Rogue Proxy below, and follow them on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
