Sonic Reducers: Herb Tarlek, RIP

Join us as we pay our respects to actor Frank Bonner of WKRP in Cincinnati.

If you’re old enough to remember the ’70s sitcom WKRP In Cincinnati, today is a sad day — actor Frank Bonner, better know as boorish, leisure-suited ad sales manager Herb Tarlek, has reportedly died at age 79.

And if you’re not old enough to remember WKRP, I strongly urge you to head to the YouTubes for clips or shell out for the DVDs that were released several years back. But first, join publicist extraordinaire Eric Alper and I as we pay our respects to Bonner, Herb and WKRP in today’s Sonic Reducers segment. We’ll share some of our favourite WKRP moments, look back at TV rock in the ’70s, discuss the two things that old Herb could never quite nail and a whole lot more. Sonic Reducers: One topic. Two music nerds. Five minutes. Everything you need to know.
