Late-Night TV Music (Mushy Brain Edition) | Nov. 23, 2020

Didn't sleep last night. Mushy brain today. Full sentences out of question.

Didn’t sleep last night. Mushy brain today. Full sentences out of question. Ditto insightful commentary about Monday’s Late-Night TV Music roster. Will just list entries in order of goodliness instead:

1 | Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy and family band performing Dylanesque Gwendolyn for Late Night with Seth Meyers. Not sure how live it is — drums don’t always match up with music — but it’ll do.

Actually, scratch ‘order of goodliness’ above. Rest are all tied for next/last/whatever. Best of bad bunch: Josh Groban’s weird bombastic The World We Knew (Over and Over) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Is it Bond theme? Christmas song? Pandemic anthem? All of above? Don’t know. Don’t care.

After that, total crapshoot. Emphasis on crap. Take your pick of: Jewel trotting out Who Will Save Your Soul on Jimmy Kimmel Live to flog new reissue; BTS going through umpteen doors with Life Goes On for The Late Late Show With James Corden; Non-country ‘country’ singer Kane Brown, Swae Lee and Khalid crooning Be Like That on Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Not good. But done. Time for nap now. Talk later.
