Boa vs Cobra | Black Sheep

HOME BASE: Belgium.

When I, Sandy Fee (vocals-lyrics-composition), put a bass guitar in the hands of JP King (bass guitar-percussions-lyrics-composition) two years ago, I heard sounds that I had never ever heard before from any other bass guitar player. Excited & thrilled, we went directly in studio with no plans but record “one hit per day,” as I like to laugh about it. Boa vs Cobra was born! We had so much fun creating our first album, and we hope this magical music potion made of pure spontaneity, rough and profound bass, vocal and writing performance will lead you to just love it as much as we do. Black Sheep is a new wave hymn propelled by rhythm and blues verses with a touch of craziness.”

It is prone to micro-depressions. An entry-level bass, a guitar with strings eaten away by the inability to create, a colorless drum machine, a tasteless microphone to record a bruised voice. This is what he tries to heal his open wounds with. Between his love letters never sent and his empty bottles of alcohol he languishes in his doubts and fears. Plaie is a mirror for each person who one day felt alone, incapable of creating, of dreaming and having lost the taste for all willpower. Plaie is a love letter for all these people.”

Three years ago he came back to his hometown and he built a studio to work on music everyday. This track is the final one of a three-week cycle: After Other Vibes and Variable Speed Of Life, Patches is the most melodic and evolving arrangement I went through.
