Rodeo FM | The Devil & The Riot

HOME BASE: Germany.
GENRE: Americana.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:The Devil & The Riot is the first single of the new album The Upgrade of Truth from Berlin-based Americana band Rodeo FM. A smooth and pristine Americana ride, an angry and charging accusation of the powers that be, and an ironic depiction of the foul status quo. How fitting for 2020 — when it seems the window is open for change and reclaiming lost ground. When country music comes back as a vehicle carrying credibility unlike the sold-out Nashville mainstream they call country today. This is more like what country musuic has always been — music for the lonely, dispossessed and poor. Music to tell the truth. Berlin-based Rodeo FM have been playing their brand of Americana for 15 years — in dingy cellars and at vernissages, at weddings and funerals, in beer tents and night clubs, at country festivals, symposiums and demonstrations. They have been filling dance floors from the South of France to the Russian border.”

Zebrah | Dimension

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Soul.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Zebrah is the artistic project born from the minds of Pauline and Kevin, two French musicians taking over the London scene since 2017. Their single release Zebrah is ready for you. Mixing up flute, psychedelic guitar, vocals, drums and bass, their sound cannot be defined as only one genre. Inspired by artists such as Erykah Badu, Pink Floyd or Lana Del Rey, Zebrah is a little funk and a little folk but also very much psychedelic and neo-soul.”

Lauren Waller | Best Coast

HOME BASE: United States.
GENRE: Pop.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Lauren Waller is a captivating artist who exudes a darkly glamorous soulfulness. She has spent years on a journey to hone her skills as a creative. She is a writer, a poet, a painter, a singer and as an artist, she has morphed into an indie pop siren with a sleek and sensual pop sensibility. Best Coast is a summer anthem highlighting the party lifestyle that some know all too well living in California. Recorded before we could ever imagine a lock down all summer long, Best Coast is still here to deliver a carefree feeling that you may be missing. The catchy chorus highlights California, shouting out San Diego all the way up to Humboldt County. The lyrics poke fun with a fresh take on party culture. Best Coast is reminiscent of catchy 2000s hip-hop and pure pop. The beats and production make Best Coast catchy, danceable, and relatable because we all know that in California, we like to party.”

Charlène Blanchette | Billets

HOME BASE: Canada.
GENRE: Pop.
THE TRANSLATED BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “I present to you my new song Billets, extracted from a first album to come in the coming months. It’s Pop à Glitter, in French with very catchy tones, up tempo and summer vibes. I want to introduce Pop Franco from Montreal to as many people as possible!”

Yusan | Chiraj

HOME BASE: France.
GENRE: Jazz-Pop.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Yusan has been created in 2016 after an unexpected artistic residency in Chamonix. This is a genuine friendship story that results in a common willing to make music together. An obvious alliance for these artists who have each a very strong musical signature, but share influences as a collective legacy, and a complicity they put at the service of creation. The name Yusan has been given by a band’s friend. It is the Korean word for legacy and perfectly sums up the way they see their own music. From these strong individual identities and a common legacy, Yusan makes its jazz travel from Caribbean musics to African rhythms, through songs, gospels sounds and urban influences. This mix is the sextet’s signature, where everyone naturally finds his own place.”

Mariatti | Other Vibes

HOME BASE: Italy.
GENRE: Electronica.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE: “This is my first independent release and it’s dedicated to the “motto” of Recall, a music community brand HolyU and I started developing four years ago. The meaning is focused on the continuous research of inspiration from the sounds and the people who enjoy the craft. This song is a progressive and “trancy” mix blended with some dusty vocals I recorded of my voice. Push play to get High-Voltaged.”

Strings Y Voz | Recuerdos De Luna Llena

HOME BASE: Dominican Republic.
GENRE: Jazz-Pop.
THE BIO & PRESS RELEASE:Lisbania Perez, who hails from the Dominican Republic, is the voice and face of Strings Y Voz. Her family moved to Haiti when she was six years old. The relationship between the two nations may have traditionally been tense, but Lisbania has soaked up the grooves of both her home countries — the twoubadou, rasin and reggae sounds of Haiti, the bachata and merengue rhythms of the Dominican Republic — as well as local Haitian musical styles. Take for example the popular kompa, a constant presence on the streets of Port-au-Prince that combines Creole vocals with African beats and Spanish influences. Lisbania builds a musical bridge
between these two cultures that share so much, despite their tempestuous past.”
