Late-Night TV Music (Northern Noodles Edition) | Nov. 21, 2018

Give thanks for Meek Mill, Death Cab For Cutie and Zach Zoya.

And then there were two. With the annual American Thanksgiving festivities building to its usual fevered pitch, it continued to be a slow week for music on the late-night talk shows. On the one hand, you had Meek Mill and The Roots delivering his new single Oodles o’ Noodles Babies — from his upcoming album Championships — on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. On the other hand, you had Death Cab For Cutie showcasing their track Northern Lights on The Late Late Show With James Corden. And that was all she wrote. So, just for a bonus — and speaking of northern lights — I tacked on half a dozen songs from Montreal rapper Zach Zoya’s episode of CBC’s First Play Live. Because man cannot live on light noodles alone.
