Late-Night TV Music (Variety Pack Edition) | Nov. 1, 2018

Pistol Annies, Mike Shinoda, Tenacious D, Tony Bennett and more mix it up on the tube.

Supergroup? Check. Comedy-rock? Check. Hip-pop, jazz and country-rock? Check, check and check. The late-night talk shows were ticking all the boxes on Thursday night with a truly diverse musical lineup. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Miranda Lambert and the rest of Pistol Annies performed Best Years of My Life from their mellow third album Interstate Gospel. Meanwhile, on The Late Late Show with James Corden, former Linkin Park rocker Mike Shinoda showed off his poppier new persona (with the help of K.Flay) on his single Make It Up As I Go. Beautiful drums. Over on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the mighty men of Tenacious D showed off their weird beards during a two-song set of Colors (above) and Woman Time, both from their brand-new album Post-Apocalypto. And on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Tony Bennett swung by to sing Love Is Here to Stay from his recent duets disc with Diana Krall (who was AWOL). Finally, L.A. country-rocker Jaime Wyatt returned to Last Call With Carson Daly to perform Stone Hotel and Your Loving Saves Me live from the Troubadour. Check them out below.
