Late-Night TV Music | Oct. 11, 2018

Tom Morello & The Record Company bring the noise on a quiet night.

Well, that’s more like it. At least a little. It was another quiet night for music on late-night TV. But thankfully, a couple of artists got loud enough to almost make up for it. Turn up the volume for Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello, who previewed his new EDM-influenced album The Atlas Underground by playing Every Step That I Take ā€” with a little help from Portugal. The Man and Whethan ā€” for the Jimmy Kimmel Live audience. (Come back to read my review of the album later today.) Meanwhile over on Last Call With Carson Daly, blues-rockers The Record Company kicked it up another notch with Life to Fix and The Movie Song. But if you prefer beauty to brawn, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon was the place for you. And singer Bazzi‘s hip-hop soul single Beautiful was your sleepytime jam. Speaking of quiet.
