Ella Mai, Dua Lipa & Famliy of the Year top another slow night for music on the tube.

It’s still quiet out there – too quiet. Especially if you’re someone who only watches the late-night talk shows for the musical guests. Wednesday’s lineup brought just a pair of new live performances, both from British female vocalists. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ella Mai offered up the midtempo single Trip (above) to hype her self-titled debut disc, due out on Friday. And over on Jimmy Kimmel Live, a barefoot Dua Lipa broke out the dry ice and spangles for the fittingly upbeat dance-pop workout Electricity. Looking for something in an American rock band? Your closest option was L.A. indie-popsters Family of the Year, who played Let Her Go and Hold Me Down on tape from the El Ray for Last Call With Carson Daly. Fingers crossed for more excitement tonight.
