Late-Night TV Music | Oct. 2, 2018

Lil Wayne, Phosphorescent and Amen Dunes enliven a quiet night on the music box.

The late night giveth and the late night taketh away. After a full slate of performers on Monday, the talk-show music scene was quiet on Tuesday, with only a few acts on the tube. The main event, of course, was Lil Wayne’s cracking performance of Dedicate on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (above). Aside from that, your only options were indie-popsters Matthew Houck and Phosphorescent, who brought the sunny New Birth in New England to The Late Late Show with James Corden, and Damon McMahon’s Amen Dunes, who offered up the sweet Blue Rose and Believe on Last Call With Carson Daly. Better luck next time. And remember, kids: Stay in school.
